Local psychic medium holds fundraiser for Clackmannan Christmas Lights Festival with second Psychic Night.

Steven Bird, local spirit medium, has raised over £320 towards the ‘Light Up Clackmannan’ event this year with his Psychic reading night in the Bruce Lounge, Clackmannan.

The event lasted around an hour and a half and saw upwards of 30 attendees eagerly anticipating a message from loved ones who had passed over. The atmosphere in the room was heavy as Steven attempted to bring messages of comfort and guidance from the other side.

Working alongside Steven, volunteers and staff from Clackmannan Development Trust helped make sure the night was enjoyed by all with complimentary drinks and nibbles at the end. Reactions were good and many in attendance expressed an interest in further events down the line.

 “Aye! It makes me happy that I can give people that bit of comfort they might need sometimes. It’s always an honour to serve spirit!”

Spirit mediums provide a service of comfort to those who have lost loved ones, seeking guidance and just want to get a little closer to themselves. The spirit world plays an enormous role in the lives of so many. The comfort and confidence they find in themselves, and their beliefs can be compared to same feeling many get from religion.

Steven had previously held a similar night in aid of last year’s Light Up Festival which raised £370 towards new lights. Light Up Clackmannan is much loved within the community and is attended by many from the village and beyond.

Along to introduce Steven was Malcolm Robinson, a published paranormal writer and founder of Strange Phenomena Investigations. Malcolm has authored several books including one on local terror tale ‘The Sauchie Poltergeist’ and the pair periodically host paranormal lectures in Sauchie Community Centre.

Steven’s book ‘A Psychic Salesman’ is set to publish in the Springtime of this year.

The night has helped ensure that Clackmannan Development Trust can provide Christmas lights for this year festivities and they always welcome more volunteers to assist with events.
