The community space was launched in March 2023 with funding from the Co-op’s Warm Space initiative. Since then, it has developed into a one-stop-shop providing a warm, safe place for people to meet and make connections, attend vital outreach services and access the community larder. Run by volunteers, the Community Space sees an average of 30 people every week, coming into the Bruce Lounge for a hot drink, social interaction and advice.
