Clackmannan Heritage Group

The Heritage Group meets at the Bruce Lounge on the first Tuesday of the month, afternoon or evening. Every year they hold popular Snowdrop and Bluebell Walks through local woodland. New members are always welcome, as are suggestions for future projects. Previous initiatives include creation of the Clackmannan Heritage Trails and maps, funded by The National Lottery through their Heritage Fund.

Custodians of Our River

The Custodians of Our River group was formed after a CDT member raised concerns about levels of pollution in the Black Devon river. The Trust supported early efforts to establish the group, providing use of the Bruce Lounge free of charge for meetings and storage, and support with recruiting volunteers and funding bids. The group are now fully established and have their own constitution, a pipeline of proposed projects and a separate management board drawn from CDT members.

The Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden sprang into life in 2017 and has become a much-loved feature of the town. The garden is maintained by volunteers with input from local businesses and the Primary School, supported by donations and funders.
