Local Spirit Medium Steven Bird raises over £370 towards Light-Up Clackmannan

Steven Bird, local spirit medium, has raised over £370 towards our Light Up Clackmannan event this year with his Psychic reading night in the Bruce Lounge.
Steven, a Clackmannan resident, held the event on August 23rd to help bring the town a little closer to the spirit world. The attendees loved the readings Steven gave and had no end of questions for him.
The event lasted over two hours with 40 attending in anticipation of receiving a message from loved ones that had passed over. Steven has provided this service for 7 years to give comfort and healing to many through messages at events like this. He is vice-president of the Stirling Spiritualist Church and has been a platforming medium for the majority of that time.
The people who received readings on the night gave very positive feedback with Steven saying: “Aye! it made me happy that I could give them something. I can be a grumpy old git sometimes, but I like helping folk. It costs nothing to be nice. Absolutely nothing!”
Spirit mediums provide a service of comfort to those who have lost loved ones, seeking guidance and just want to get a little closer to themselves. The spirit world plays an enormous role in the lives of so many. The comfort and confidence they find in themselves, and their beliefs can be compared to same feeling many get from religion.
Steven is originally from Newcastle. He moved to Scotland in 1994 and began working as a salesman. “Aye I do miss home sometimes, but when you’re up here that long this kind of becomes your home”. Steven still has family in England and is a huge supporter of Newcastle United.
It’s because of volunteers like Steven that events like Light-Up Clackmannan go ahead. All the money we raise through events like Steven’s go towards expenses such as lights and decorations.
He has his first book “A Psychic Salesman” coming out in February of next year.
